The Genesis
of PSQC

PSQC

PSQC originated from an idea to promote software quality, standards and testing activities in Pakistan.

Brainchild of Pakistan Software Testing Board (PSTB), a non-profit organization registered under the name 'Software Testing Foundation' in Pakistan, is dedicated to promotion of software quality/testing activities and standards in Pakistan.

PSTB is Pakistan representative of International Software Testing and Qualification Board (ISTQB). The prestigious forum oversees the accreditation of professional software engineers, trainers, and training institutes for ISTQB certifications and represents the interests of Pakistan within ISTQB.

PSTB in Nutshell

PSTB, since its inception has successfully organized a number of professional events for promoting the software quality engineering practices of the local software industry. A number of testers meetups have been held in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad. Because of this PSTB has been able to engage and build a vibrant community of software testers and other software engineers in Pakistan.

In 2017, PSTB has organized largest software engineering event in the Pakistan, the Pakistan Software Quality Conference (PSQC’17) Islamabad. And this year, PSTB is gearing up for second conference at the city of Lahore.

Glimpse of
last year

PSQC'17

PSQC’17 included a number of high quality talks by experienced industry professionals and researchers.

It also provided opportunity for hands on training and professional networking. The conference aimed to meet the challenges of software quality engineering by bringing together the practitioners and researchers of the area.
